What Happens to Your Website When You Die ?

Never thought I would be asking myself this question. Have you?

Marshall Johnson, a good friend and mentor of mine died about a year ago. For 6 or so years we worked next to each other and shared an office. Finally about a year before Marshall passed we each got our own offices. Something we talked about or actually dreamed about for years like it would never happen. Marshall Dean Johnson pretty much was there for me every time I had a question about HTML or working with .jpgs and .gifs

- I don’t understand why God took him so early but I feel like God put him in my life for a reason. I’m thankful for that.

Eventually after he died his domain name expired. So after checking the Whois I noticed that Mr. Greg at Web Your Business in Loveland, Colorado grabbed it before some spammer could get a hold. Freaking lucky for Marshall, and me. I’ll cut to the chase and just say Webyourbusiness is providing free hosting for Marshalls website Bathopshere.com -

So today was Marshall’s day. After receiving the ftp info from WYB I downloaded Marshalls old website from Saw.net and uploaded it to the new server today.

Marshall, your back online dude!
