The World’s Smallest Surgeons ?
Sitting with a few friends tonight at the Rose and Raindrop the discussion came across the table about health and healing, then Maggots. It was news to me but apparently a few doctors have been using Maggots to heal people for quite sometime.
Maggot therapy, also known as biosurgery, larval therapy,
or maggot debridement therapy, is a carefully controlled, artificially induced benign myiasis, in which the medical practitioner aims to take advantage of the ability of maggots to break down and ingest infected or necrotic tissue.
